CAEC Preparation Courses
formerly know as GED
Video Conferencing
- Work through all of the 5 CAEC Exam areas (Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, Language Arts, Essay Writing) with instruction via videoconferencing and a classroom facilitator for support.
- $200 fee includes 100 hours of instruction and all materials (textbooks and calculator).
- Free for students who are eligible for the Part-time Study Bursary.
- CAEC Exams at end of course (separate fee).
Online CAEC Preparation Course with Onsite Weekly Tutor Support
- This flexible option allows students to learn strategies to prepare for writing their CAEC Exam without having to leave their homes. Students work through modules online at home and have access to an onsite tutor either in our office or over the phone on a weekly basis. The modules focus on developing and improving their writing, reading, science, social studies, and math skills. Students will also complete various CAEC assessment tests to help them feel more comfortable in a timed testing environment.
- Cost: $304.75 plus textbooks and calculator (some funding support available for eligible students)

Digital Skills 1: Laptop Computers – Documents & File Management
- 6 classes
- How to find, manage and store your files on Windows. Explore and learn to create Word documents, practice writing a cover letter and/or resume.
- Learn how to add graphics and images to create stories/posters, brochures.
Digital Skills 2: Social Media
- 5 Classes
- Build a digital identity, find social communities on the web. Get comfortable sharing together and on social media.
- Learn how to create social media logins and accounts, and then post video chat/Facetime, Zoom, Instagram, Facebook, Whats App, etc., in a safe and secure environment!
