Instructor for the Math You Will Use Everyday Course (wage $25 per hour)

Contract position from February 11 to April 2, 2020. Tuesday and Thursday Evenings from 6 to 9 pm. Additional paid hours for preparation. An opportunity to provide individual tutoring at other times of the week is also available. Instruct our new Numeracy course which teaches essential skills and the math calculations adults need to plan a vacation, cook for a large group, renovate a room in their home and mange their personal finances.

Classroom Manager & Learner Support for GED Preparation Course (wage $20 per hour)

Contract Position from January 14 to March 26, 2020. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Evenings from 4:30 to 8:00 pm.

Maintain a welcoming classroom space, conducive to learning, for a group of diverse adults.

Support Learners to successfully complete their learning experience.

Setup and takedown classroom equipment and perform other duties as necessary.

Experienced Tutors and Instructors

Camrose Adult Learning Council is looking for experienced tutors with formal training who are interested in supporting adults to increase their basic literacy skills and/or build skills in junior high and high school level academic subjects such as math, reading, and writing. You would be required to develop specific goals and timelines with adult learners, monitor progress, suggest homework assignments and facilitate learning sessions with an adult learner. A flexible schedule and the ability to commit to short term (12 week) intensive contract work is also an asset.
